Pathfinders
The Pathfinder Level is the first Level of the American Heritage Girls (AHG) program. A Pathfinder girl is at least 5 years old and typically in Kindergarten. As a Pathfinder, girls earn necklace beads for attendance; completing an activity from each Stepping Stone; learning Bible verses; and completing service projects. They can also earn the Fanny Crosby Level Award when they have completed this Level. Girls who complete their Level Award may also have time to work toward completion of their Joining Award. Pathfinder Leader Guide.
Tenderhearts
The Tenderhearts Level is the second level of the American Heritage Girls (AHG) program. Tenderhearts, ages 6-9, grow in their faith and life skills through Troop activities, service and leadership opportunities, outdoor adventures, and earned achievements. This Program Level encourages girls to set goals and teaches them about dedication and perseverance.
Explorers
Ready to take on more responsibility, Explorers ages, 9-12, are eager to grow in all areas of AHG. As Explorers progress through the AHG Program, they will have greater opportunities for service, leadership, and life skill experiences. Explorers love the welcoming and fun environment!
Pioneer/Patriot
Pioneers are given the opportunity to find out who they truly are in Christ. Girls are encouraged to explore their interests and abilities in a safe environment. The Pioneer Level is where a girl’s Christian leadership skills accelerate through advanced opportunities in the Troop and community.
As Patriots teenage girls learn life skills vital to adulthood through Troop activities and Girl Leadership opportunities. Unit Leaders serve as facilitators as Patriots take on more ownership of their Unit, allowing girls to make decisions regularly. Girl friendships deepen through outdoor experiences and high adventure opportunities. Patriots develop rich spiritual maturity and practice their faith through servant leadership.
Looking Ahead and Having Fun
The first badge I would like to introduce is probably the most versatile and is completed entirely at home. I have included only the first step "Together We Play." This badge has seven parts. I thought it would be fun if you were able to get a taste of badge work this summer. I will post the other parts of this badge as well as elements of the joining award throughout the summer for any families who would like to get an early start!
